Friday Poll: Which would be harder to give up for a week, Twitter or email?
June 27, 2008 | Posted by: Nicholas
The Friday Poll is back again after a couple weeks off. It tells us that the weather has been too nice to come inside and post a new poll the last couple weeks, but now that the DC summer heat and humidity are here, it's happy to be inside again.
So, in earlier Friday Polls we've asked whether you would rather give up your car or your computer, and which social site would be hardest to give up, and even which communication device you could give up. Now, with Twitter down comletely (in the meantime...) after a pretty bad week overall, we ask: Which would be harder to give up for a week, Twitter or email?
For those that are not hip to Twitter, go sign up (when you are able to), connect with at least 15-20 friends, co-workers, industry people, etc., use it for at least a month, then check back in and give us your vote.

Although Twitter is fun, and I use it all day long at work, import info and attachments come via emails.

I hear ya, Bob, but which one would you miss more on vacation?

Answer from a different Bob - on vacation I would happily miss both.

I think with email it is much more likely that someone is attempting to communicate with me directly.
That said, I would gladly get rid of all electronic communications for a week or so. Anyone feel like starting a revolution?
