Podcast: Creating a B2B Social Media Strategy
June 25, 2008 | Posted by: Lee
Thanks to all who came out to our B2B Social Media Strategy event this morning. We had a great crowd of B2B marketers and PR folks, and great feedback.
Overall it was interesting to see that those in attendance were already diving into social media or at least thinking about taking the plunge.
- 50% were actively using social media in their marketing
- 17% had one or more initiatives ready to launch in the next 3 - 6 months
- 33% were discussing the possibilities
Links to resources.
Being technology inclined folks, we recorded it, took photos of it, and videotaped it (to be posted soon). You can also download the presentation.
If you're interested, there are also two articles on MarketingProfs related to the methodology:
- Three Factors to Consider Before You Jump on the Social Media
- BandwagonThree Key Determinants of Your Company's Readiness to Plunge Into Social Media
Thanks also to everyone at EB who arranged for the location, spread the word, managed the technology, and who got up at an ungodly hour of the morning to make such they were there on time.

Very well done event, Lee. This is exactly the kind of session people need to attend to help them start thinking in the right way about social media.
