Project Management Link Love
August 11, 2006 | Posted by: Nicholas
Design and design-related topics get a lot of virtual ink on this blog. We’re a creative agency after all. But what keeps this agency from running itself into the ground? That’s right, our project managers. So, it’s about time to give them some love up in here!
Schedules and content are two things with which I see our PMs wrestling on a regular basis. The blog over at Blue Flavor has a couple new posts that address these topics.
First, in Proactive and Reactive Measures for Schedule Slips, Nick Finck tackles what to do when deadlines are going to slip and gives a slew of other resources for further reading.
Next, in Don’t Forget the Content, the very same Nick Finck posits, “If content is king, it’s time we all stop treating content like it’s an unwanted peasant.” (Candidate for quote of the year.) He gets into how we can and why we should move the delivery of content up the priority list in web development projects. Right on!
Lastly, I did a Blingo search on “project management blogs,” and this one came up #1. Might be worth looking around to see if there’s anything else out there worth reading.

Thanks for recognizing our PM’s efforts. They do keep things running.
